Myself and my partner went for the 4-night VIP executive villa break at the Longleat Centerparcs and as this was our first ever visit, we were a little apprehensive, but I must say we did thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Abseiling, Zip-wire, Falconry, Fitness Programs, PhotoShoot, 3G Swing, Archery are to name but a few of the activities we took ...

Have just returned from Longleat, our 4th visit. We have always loved our mid-week breaks but this time was different. We stayed in a 2 bed comfort which was dark and dingy in a terrible location at the bottom of a steep hill.
The restaurants prices are outragious. We will not be returning as we felt totally ripped off. A shame really as it is a great family break.

Center Parcs has a number of resorts through the UK – Whinfell, Sherwood, Elveden and Longleat Forest. In this review I refer to Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest, Nottingham. I have been a number of times to Center Parcs resorts however the last time I went I was a teenager, I enjoyed myself in previous times and with nostalgic thoughts ...

I went with my wife and son to the Lake District complex. Our first time at CP and, given I'm not one for 'chalets' or 'lodges', I was pleasantly surprised at the cosiness of the 'chalet' we'd been allocated. There was plenty to see and do for three days. However, the weather was very 'soft' - but you'd expect that for March in ...

As a member of staff at Center Parcs (Sherwood) I'd just like to warn people that we arent as environmentally friendly as we pretend. We prick mallard eggs (800 this year), kill squirrels and are currently undertaking a lot of building work that requires mature trees to be chopped down. We also use peat based compost but tell guests its peat-free. ...

Just returned from center parcs for about the 3rd time now, and have realised it is the most commercialised, poor-value-for money place ever. Everything is hideously over-priced, and what do you actually get for the high initial prices? Dated accommadation, and a decrepid tropical paradise in desperate need of modernisation. We opted for the ...

Have just returned from a midweek break at Whinfell forest. We went back in January and had a great time so decided to return in November. I would say generally we were pleased again though do have a few gripes. (more on them later) All in all though I would definitely recommend Whinfell as a great place for a short break. We arrived at ...

Visited Sherwood Forest last weekend. Comfort villa. Kitchen and bathroom very clean. Kitchen well stocked (utensils etc... not food). Bedrooms clean - might be worth taking extra sheet and pillowcase as bedsheets a bit noisy (waterproof I suppose) and spare pillows don't have cases. Heating very good and fire logs good - £8 for 3 - each ...

I went to Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest and had a great time (but costly). The accomadation looks outdated slightly from the outside but on entering is very cosy. We stopped in a 3 bedroom villa which consisted of a double bed, bunk beds, and 2 single beds. The villa was very clean on arrival (shame about when we finished with it) ...

Centre Parcs - Whinfell Forest We have just returned from this fantastic place, we have a 10 month old baby and found everything and everyone so child friendly. The creche is amazing, we had never left our baby like this before, he had a great time. The staff are excellent and even give you a written report of your babies day. We ...

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Longlete. It was the first time that we had gone to Centre Parcs as we had always thought it to be quite an expensive holiday for one family, but when accommodation is shared with friends it becomes more reasonably priced. We purchased meat and provisions prior to arriving to try and cut the ...

I returned home yesterday from a four day break at Elvedon Forest. My last visit was 15 years ago, prior to the fire, so I was expecting to find a lot of changes. We had stayed in the Hotel on our last visit so I had no idea what to expect with the villa we had booked. BOOKING AND ARRIVAL The booking process was simple and ...

This is not our normal sort of holiday. We are more likely to pack a bikini and sunscreen and take a flight to some far flung part of the world before packing up the car and heading for the hills!! But, with a 2 month old and a terrible pregnancy, we thought it best to take a nice and easy holiday to get our bearings with a child in tow. Thus, ...

We have just got home from our first trip to Centerparcs. We chose Elvedon forest because it is close enough to my parents to have a day trip there, and we had not read any bad reviews of it. We travelled over from Northern Ireland and spent all day getting there, so we were happy to be able to drive straight to our villa and settle in. The place ...

The check in process at Whinfell was very smooth and quick, although we did not arrive at a busy time of day(12.30). We found our cabin relatively easily, but discovered that the 2nd toilet had a severe case of mildew and smelt very badly. Although cleaning standards were ok in the other bathroom, the pans and utensils were not too ...

original review ( I have been to Center Parcs once at Whinfell forest and once at Sherwood. There are lots of activities that you can do. Some of them are instructor led and you have to pay for (but are worth doing) and others are free (eg.swimming). The swimming pool is great. There's a bit where you go ...

Arrived back today from a bank holiday weekend at Sherwood Forest. Service was excellent in restaurants and Jardin des Sports. The Comfort villa was minging though: cobwebs on skirtings and ceilings; woodlice on walls; trim falling off cooker; dirty carpets and windows; holes in ceiling; tacky 70s DFS reject sofas. What a dump! The ...

We have just returned from a midweek stay at Whinfell Forest in Cumbria. It was great. We were a little concerned when we received our documentation because our accommodation (3 bed forest lodge) was in Three Oaks which appeared on the edge and along way from the Centre. We therefore hired a mountain bike plus a traditional bike with a ...
