Dahab has a great nightlife and is a popular hangout for Israeli's due to it's cheap prices and nearby location to Israel. Adam's Bar in Dahab is probably the cheapest place you'll find a beer in the whole of Egypt, at just 50-60p for a nice big bottle of Stella (the Egyptian brand not Stella Artois), your assured a good time and a blurry head in the morning. They also have a huge flat screen where you can catch all the sports games. Dahab is the ultimate Red Sea destination in my eyes. Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada are a forever expanding sprawl of huge resorts, sunburnt Northern Europeans and Russians with more money than sense. Taba a little to quiet and Nuweiba just a port city. Dahab used to be fairly quiet but is now a backpacking mecca and also has several top end resorts like the Hilton.. it's still in good shape though. With a laid back atmosphere and a great choice of waterfront cafe's, where you can sit for hours, weeks, months, years listening to reggae, rock or local bedouin tunes.
