Newest Review: ... how warm it is and straight away you can tell you're in the carribean, the airport has a thatched roof and carribean music is being played loud. The country is pretty under-developed and was a bit shocked when we were travelling to our accomadation but once we arrived at our hotel we were amazed. It is very suprising how the people who live there seem to have so little but yet are so happy. They are the friendliest people you could meet. All the hotels are 4 or 5 star and have a beach front location with watersports activities you can do. We also went on two excursions, one a helicopter ride over the island which was just fantastic. I have just returned from a week long break in the dominican republic and I can honestly describe it as the most beautiful place in the world. the sand is pure white, the sea crystal blue and the temperature hot!!
