Arad:
... is a city in Romania not far from the border with Hungary. I visited Arad only on one occasion for business purposes since it is the city where the Headquarters of Banca Intesa are. I took a plane from Bucharest, the capital of Romania to Timisoara, which is 65 kilometres away from Arad. At the airport I rented a car, which I then used to go to Cluj (where Banca Transilvania is based) and then to Sibiu and Bra... Read the full review: Arad by REALTRAVELLER |

Varese (Italy) ... is a city of around 90,000 people in the North of Italy. It is situated 50 kilometres north of Milan and only 12-15 from the border with Switzerland. The region is hilly, the hills get lower the more you go towards Milan, while they become mountains if you go North. Varese used to be one of the richest cities in Italy because of the textile industries and the micro industries in its province, it still remains a well of part of Italy, but it lost a bit of the old splendour. It is a very pleasant city to visit, it is referred to as the Garden City because of the many green areas and large villas and has compact centre which can be easily explored in half a day on f... Trogir ... tiled roofs, the narrow streets filled with attractive restaurants, gift shops and stylish boutiques, one needn t worry too much about being guided at all. Part of the charm of Trogir is wandering around the place, finding lanes off lanes, then perhaps enjoying a drink overlooking the quay where some of the most swish yachts in Europe tie up in the summer. However, if you are interested in history and art then you will find plenty to interest you in Trogir. A full run down of Trogir s sights could fill its own guidebook but I ve picked out just a couple here. The cathedral of St Lawrence is perhaps the highlight of Trogir. Not only does climbing the tower give ... Read the full review: Trogir - joined up history by fizzywizzy |

Milan (Italy) ... ve only been to Milan once but it is definitely one of my favourite cities on the Continent - unparalleled fashion and food! For a Valentine s Day surprise this year, the hubby flew us out of City Airport to Milan on Friday night. We stayed in a hotel right behind the Duomo with an amazing view of its spires, and had dinner at the Trattoria Milanese as soon as we got in. The Michelin-starred Trattoria Milanese is famous for its Risotto Milanese, but if you do decide to go there, beware! The risotto is habit forming, and it s nearly impossible to find a good substitute here in England. The wait staff at the Trattoria were a great introduction to the locals, as well, as ...
