Gdynia:
... the youngest and least visited of the Tri-city towns is often overlooked in favour of the historic Gdansk and fun-orientated Sopot. As it s often the case, there is a reason for that: there is enough in Gdansk and Sopot to occupy even a casual visitor to a Tri-city for several days. And yet, Gdynia is worth a day s visit if you spend more than a few days in the area. * Located north of Gdansk and Sopot,... Read the full review: Boom-town on the Baltic by MagdaDH |

A monastery was then built there in honour of the Virgin Mary - The Ayia Napa Monastery. This 16th century Venetian-era monastery is partly underground and cut into rock and can today be found in by the Ayia Napa square in the centre of the town. There is a really old ancient sycamor... Biarritz (France) ... just had to write about Biarritz, as I feel it is a hidden little gem located on the south west Alantic coast of France about 30 minutes from the border with Spain. The closeness to Spain means you get all different nationalities and plenty of Parisiens flocking south for the summer. It is even a fond favourite with the royals- Queen Victoria. Biarritz offers the impressive Hotel du Palais, which was used for royal visitors and is way to far out of my price range. It also offers a decent number of hotels and appartments along the sea front at reasonable prices. The weather is interchangable, the fact that it is on the Alantic coast makes it alot cooler than say St Tro... Read the full review: Beam Me To Biarritz by bluemoon37 |

Masurian Lake District, Poland ... days of looking after my mother in law is a stressful event especially when I have to be a tour guide for Warsaw as well. So you can imagine the signs of glee on my face when my husband suggested a trip away from the city for a few days to relieve me of Mother-in-law stress syndrome. In various conversations with Polish friends I had overheard the word Masurian Lakes and according to many a Pole this is one of the country s major beauty spots along with the Tatra mountains. Only snag - Poles are very outgoing and love outdoor activities. We are not the cycling, running, watersport types although we don t mind a bit of walking. So what was it going to be - a trip to ...
