Newest Review: ... which is well worth a tour, and just hanging out on the capuccino strip. Definitely the most touristy of the areas around Perth, with a bunch of hotels, backpackers hostels, tourist shops etc. Good nightlife with tons of restaurants and clubs. Good beach just north of Fremantle at Leighton Beach, and a couple of nice cafes in North Freo (Harvest is really good for Sunday brunch). Down at Challenger Harbour are some good places to eat and walk around, and this is the marina, however the rest of the port is very definitely a working port with huge container ships coming in and out daily. Overall a good place to spend a day or two whilst in WA.... more

Great place to visit if you're in western australia. Has a bunch of stuff to see and do, including the Maritime Museum (shipwrecks and more modern stuff like the Americas cup), the Prison, which is well worth a tour, and just hanging out on the capuccino strip.
