Newest Review: ... passing through during the summer and thought it was remarkably beautiful as was the nearby region. Givet is located in the Ardennes and the town keeps close to the wide and slow flowing River Meuse. On the opposite side of the river is a mixture of forest and fields, it's extremely green and combined with the colours of the river and the white and pink housing of Givet it makes it all look ... more  ... very vibrant. There's a nuclear plant and also a quarry on the outskirts, so this kind of takes away some of the charm but it's not as noticeable as it sounds!

Givet is about the nicest welcome to France that you could have, arriving on a scenic road from Hastiere and Dinant in Belgium, you pass the border sign - the only signal that you are in France. Givet is quiet but seems a very happy place, I was passing through during the summer and thought it was remarkably beautiful as was the nearby region.
