Hoburne Holiday Parks

Hoburne - Bashley Park, New Forest At the time of booking our key priority was a dog friendly self-catering accomodation that accepted pets and was available at a weeks notice for October Half Term. Clearly with such little notice almost anything was considered. Static caravans weren't high on our list but they were the affordable option and the only one under £2000. We are - my Gran (79), Mum (54), Sister (27), Me (33) and my 18 month old son. We go away every year but since having my son we've found it harder to find a hotel to accomodate us cheaply enough so this year we opted for a 3 bedroom caravan at Hoburne Naish which is just outside Christchurch. Location - Just off the A35 on the A337 outside New Milton. Within walking distance is a tesco metro (20 mins walk) in the village of Highcliffe. There is a bus service just outside the park that takes you in to Bournemouth (although haven't used it). On arrival we were warmly and efficiently greeted by the park management and directed to our lodge, and what a lodge!! Total home from home comforts with everything you need. We were 4 adults staying in one lodge and there was plenty of room. The decor is simple but tasteful and everything was spotless. The site itself has a golf course, several good walks and a brilliant traditional games room. If you want noisy clubhouses then don't go but if you want to escape for some peace and tranquility then give it a try, I don't believe you will be disappointed. Hoburne is a great holiday with a total of 7 parks around the south west of the country. These are: Hoburne Bashley in Hampshire, Hoburne Naish in Hampshire, Hoburne Park in Dorset, Hoburne Cotswold in Gloucestershire, Hoburne Torbay in Devon, Hoburne Blue Anchor in Somerset and Hoburne Doublebois in Cornwall. Hoburne offer a variety of accomidation ranging from camping and caraving to staying in chalets, lodges and apartments. They're a great family company as most of their parks are child friendly and they all have a lot of childrens entertainment. Part of the Hoburne group, this is a large campsite near to Swindon. In addition to the touring pitches there are static caravans and wooden lodges, but these are well separated from the touring units. Pitches are all on hard-standing and are very regimented, but when we visited there were quite a few tents and motorhomes which broke the monototy that would have occurred with all the caravans and awnings in line. There are several toilet and shower blocks all in good condition, and frequent water and waste points.
