We also went canoeing through the creek system and out to sea with Outback Kayaks, which included a 'drift dive', where you put on a snorkel, tether your canoe to your wrist, and just drift with the current. I stayed in Abaco for ten days last October. Myself and the better half stayed with friends, so I can't give you any tips on hotel accommodation, however, here's a summary of what it's like to holiday there: Weather: Great. It's the Caribbean-duh! Lots of tropical rainstorms also (see below). Hurricane season is between mid-September and March. People: Amazingly friendly. We were staying in a *very* non-tourist area, and probably stood out a mile (the Marsh Harbour population isn't very big either!), but people really do say 'Hi!' in the street, and smile.
