Advantages: ideal if you are a couple

Disadvantages: no privacy if more than two people stay in hotel room

My family visits the USA mainly Orlando Florida, at least twice a year. We have stayed in both hotels & villas. The hotels are good if you intend to travel in a party of two, but if there are more than two people traveling, you should consider staying in either a condo or villa. When staying in hotel rooms with more than two people you have no privacy it's a fight to get to the bath room and you feel like a tin of sardines. The rooms are cleaned daily and you are asked if you would like youe bedding/towels changed daily. Most hotels offer a good service, ie; restaruant, bar, games room, outdoor pool and some also offer free shuttle services to the theme parks, we have found using the shuttle service can be a bind you have to be up at the crack of dawn to catch the shuttle and then you have to stay in the parks until the shuttle returns late evening to pick up the hotel guests, this in its self can cause tension due to the youner ones in your party getting very tiered, so more often than not we found it better to drive to the parks.

Summary: cleanliness, comfort, privacy & entertainment are at the top of list

Orlando is now in Central America then. I think you need to post this in a new category...Dave

I think you gave some valid viewpoints though told the tourist nothing about the holiday resorts or what they had to offer. I would have liked to have known a bit more about Central America, because a holiday to me is not about where I stay (i.e. hotel etc.) but about the atmosphere of the place, what it has to offer the tourist, the climate, best time of year etc. Reading the comment below, looks like you steered off course a little as well.
