Advantages: Good location

Disadvantages: A few Hills

Pandokrator Apartments

Fantastic Apartments with a wonderful view over looking the bay of Corfu towards Kerkyra airport.
The rooms are spacious and very clean through out the apartment. Friendly staff at the apartments especially Flora the housekeeper, in which my family and I became friends with her. A credit to her profession.

some hill walking. Not for the less mobile. same sex need not apply.close To shops and tavernas, bus stop, beach are all within easy walking distance.

Overall the appearance and makeup of the site is very good. We have visited this resort 3 times in the last 11 years. A warm reception was given to us upon our arrival. We are looking forward to our next visit with great anticipation.

Theo's boat barbecue was and is a great experience and certainly one that should not be missed. If you're the one for swimming and beach barbecues then this is for you to enjoy.
My favourite taverna which my family and I frequented in Barbati is the at the entrance to Barbati Beach steps.

The food is excellent and a wide and varied menu for all tastes. I practically liked the stuffed Tomatoes and Peppers. Followed by fresh fruit picked the day you eat them from the tavernas own fruit trees in their gardens.

Kanoni is a good trip out for a few hours. The nearby monastery and Mouse Island are lovely places to visit. The church on the Island is the smallest on the isle of Corfu.

The airport (which is only stones throw away from Mouse Island) there is a small wall stretching across the nearby lake in line with airports final approach.

A walk along here has a commanding view of all arriving and departing aircraft flying right over the tops of your heads. You will not get closer than this to any aircraft.

The tavernas up the hill do a good line in Sticky Buns and Tea for those in need of refreshment.

Another good trip to take is route up to Mount Pandkrator (at around 900 metres above sea level) There is a small taverna up there which serves very nice Baklava and cold beer! Not too far away the oldest village on the Island of Corfu, Perithia.

So quiet and relaxing up here just you and the peace tranquillity of the countryside that is on offer. With it's hand crafted gifts and some art works to browse around in either one of the two tiny shops.

It does matter where you go on the Island there's always a place to relax and just watch the world by getting on with its business with minimal amount of fuss.

Great review! I think it would be great to go there and enjoy the time away and it does sound like you would be very well taken care of.

Again, a helpful review! Planning a family vacation is never easy if you have never been to a certain place, but reviews like this really give you something to think about.

I was in Corfu last summer & loved it! Would happily go again... it seems to be the sort of place that has that effect on you - seems to draw people back year after year! Nice review, brought back some happy memories :)
