My Husband and I visited Cyprus last September and found it to be one of the best holiday destinations around.

The whole resort is so laid back it is untrue, the people are so friendly and always willing to help. Ayia Napa is only a short bus ride away, it too has lovley beaches, but can get a little over crowed by sleeping clubbers.

We stayed in the hotel ODESSA (through Thomson) which over looked the beach, cost approx £850 HB for 2 weeks. The beach itself is great if you have children, white sandy beaches, shallow warm water, and no rocks.

If you are going there for self catering you will be over welmed by the amount of places to eat in, they even have a MacDonalds.

All in All Protaras is a wonderful place to go and relax on holiday.
