Grenada is quite simply the most beautiful place on Earth. In July last year I embarked on a cricket tour to the Caribbean which included a stay at the Flamboyant Hotel on Grand Anse Beach. I loved every second. It was massively heart-warming to see this Island has been able to rebuild having suffered terrible damage due to a hurricane in 2005. The place does not seem to have been affected by the tourist fever other locations like Antigua and Barbados perhaps have, it remains true to all of its roots. Everywhere you go you meet very friendly people who are most welcoming. Humidity is an issue, much of the Island is covered by Rainforest and large hills, but I personally liked this. The beaches are lovely and clean and the capital St George's is a very vibrant place. Anyone considering a trip to the West Indies should carefully consider hotels here, and if you go make sure to meet Bobby the bus driver, sounds silly but everyone knows him!
