Indonesia is the most wonderful country in the world. Do visit Pelabuhan Ratu and Bogor if you get the chance. Don't be too worried by the present violence. Pelabuhan Ratu is the most beautiful spot in the whole of Indonesia; a lovely fishing village in a vast horseshoe bay; only 4 hours from Jakarta, along a sometimes bumpy road; malaria is a problem as it's on the South coast. Bogor I have written about in a separate opinion. Violence? My friend Pak A. runs a bar in Jakarta. He is related to a former cabinet minister and to a sultan.
