Newest Review: ... Kos fitted the bill nicely. That being said there was a lot to do and Kos harbour is really picturesque. Our hotel staff could not have been nice. They very often organised BBQs in the evening and gave everyone free food. We went to the Greece night but to be honest it was pretty rubbish we didn't stay long at all. Our best day was the three island cruise. It was boat ride for 20 euro which ... more

Premium Review Holiday Resorts in Kos: Great holiday destination (463 words)

Kos, Greece I spent a two week holiday in Kos, Greece in 2007. I went with my girlfriend and the only reason we choose Kos was because of the price. For two weeks bed and breakfast we paid around £700 flying from Dublin. We stayed on the outskirts of Kos town it was about a 25 minute walk into Kos town or about a five minute walk to the nearest beach. Our resort was actually called Lambi but it's so close to Kos town they might as well be the same place. Our original intention was to just have a nice lazy holiday and Kos fitted the bill nicely. That being said there was a lot to do and Kos harbour is really picturesque. Our hotel staff ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to my girlie week away with my mum we are inadvertently a bad influence on each other - putting of any sight seeing or daytrips with the comment 'do you fancy it tomorrow' - if you have ever visited Greece you will now doubt have experienced 'GMT' - Greek Maybe Time - hence we are very, very lazy...this Greek GMT attitude rubs off on us, but why not! I work 48 weeks a year and one week of rest never hurts anyone....a nice healthy Greek breakfast of yogurt and honey - a few walnuts if I'm feeling very adventurous, a good book and a sunlounger until lunch... a gentle stroll in search of a nice taverna serving a selection of mezedes and cold Mythos.. i'm made ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Holiday Resorts in Kos: Kamary Bay Hotel, Kefalos, Kos (679 words)

The Kamary Bay Hotel is a family owned and run hotel It is situated centrally in Kefakos. It is actually in Kamari Bay, as Kefalos village is like so many other Greek island villages hidden in the hills away from the fishing harbour or port. In years gone by the Aegean Sea was festooned with invaders pirates and would be conquerors. Nowadays the invaders are all welcomed from whatever country they fly in from. The Hotel has 42 bedrooms and an official rating of C the rooms are rated on two sharing on a bed and breakfast basis. I`m afraid I have to mark it down for its breakfast. It consists of Orange juice, a Bread bun, Butter, Jam and Tea or Coffee and that`s ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Kos Town (481 words)

Kos as an island had alot to offer. Sun, sea, sand, history, good food, nightclubs etc... . Kos town offers you all of this, you need not venture out of the resort. We stayed in a family run hotel just on the outskirts of the town. Most of the hotels within the resort are less than five minutes walk from the beach. The accomodation was basic but comfortable, which is what you can expect from most hotels in greece. the plumbing was alot to be desired (you get given a bin for your toilet tissue), they are still using the same plumbing system we used in the 1950's. Don't think this is just the story in Kos, all of greece still ...  Read the complete review
