Holiday Resorts in UAE

I spent a week this year in a very weird city, known as Dubai. So whats it like? Its like somebody grabbed a massive chunk of america and morrocco, stuck them in a blender and made it twenty times better. I stopped in the Hilton Jumeriah Hotel by the marina part of dubai, and this area certainly offers the best views available. The marian section, like the rest of the city, is still under heavy construction. I have so many mixed emotions about Dubai......mainly because it is a mixed up place, from towering ultra modern sky scrapers (an architect's dream), business centres, to the old town, with it's Souks etc ........ We stayed in the The Metropolitan Deira which is in the Shopping District and not far from the from The Gold And Spice Souks, The Creek, and the many huge shopping malls. Our Hotel room was very nice, with plush furnishings. It included 2 Armchairs, internet connection, Satellite television, telephone & safe.
