Holiday Resorts in Zante

I have just returned from a holiday in Zante a few days ago and thought I would review the destination for those of you who are looking for somewhere to holiday. We booked the holiday with Thomas Cook and was a fairly reasonable price at £285 each with bed and breakfast and that price included our transfers etc. As I said previously we have just come back and therefore it was a May holiday which is early in the holiday season over there. We did a bargin late booking to Laganas and as a 30 something I was a bit worried when I realised it has a reputation as party central for all the clubbers. If you want nightlife and clubbing then yes it does have that in abundance but if you want a more relaxed pace of life you can have that too. We stayed literally just a 5 minute walk along the breach from the clubs but we really wouldn't have known they were there. The beach is long and sandy and mainly nice and clean. Me and my partner recently went to Laganas in Zante, I have to say this is the best holiday I have ever been on, its a fantastic island with very friendly people. The holiday cost us about £400 for a B&B hotel for seven days (Direct Holidays) I think this was a absolute bargain. The town of Laganas is the main resort on the island, Its where all the youngsters head due to the crazy amount of bars & clubs, having said this during the day all the youngsters are still in bed so the town is nice and quite so you can have a relaxing day at the beach. My boyfriend and I were desperately looking to go on holiday together this summer at an affordable price. As a young couple we were looking for somewhere where we could both relax but have a good time and have the option to have a bit of a party as well. When we saw the advert for Zante we were immeadiately keen and booked a holiday through First Choice to Argassi, Zante. If you have read my other op on zante you will know i lived there for a while. I spent most of my time in argassi. Zante is really the name given to the islands town. The island is really called Zakynthos (zak in thoss). Its situated on the western coast of mainland Greece in the Ionian sea. The next nearest island is that of kefalonia (captain corellis mandolin). It has a varied landscape, with green mountains, and flat planes, harbouring row upon row of olive trees. Argassi is situated about 4Km away from Zante town, on the eastern coast.
