Well worth a visit (Holiday Resorts in Zante)

Advantages: Lovely sea front restaurants

Disadvantages: It would be noisy if you were staying close to the clubs

We did a bargin late booking to Laganas and as a 30 something I was a bit worried when I realised it has a reputation as party central for all the clubbers.

If you want nightlife and clubbing then yes it does have that in abundance but if you want a more relaxed pace of life you can have that too.

We stayed literally just a 5 minute walk along the breach from the clubs but we really wouldn't have known they were there. The beach is long and sandy and mainly nice and clean. During the day the atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. The only thing I didn't like much is that they do tend to use part of the beach as a road which isn't very pleasant.

In the evenings we ate at the many resturants along the beach front which are again away from the clubs and you can have delicious, good value food looking out to sea. It's very lovely eating dinner out in the open air watching the sun go down over the sea.

I think the resort works well for clubbers and non clubbers as only one set of holiday makers are awake and about at any one time. During the day the clubbers are asleep and are only coming out to play as we return to our apartment after our dinner. During the night we were sleeping whilst they were out and about and they were returning to their apartments as we got up to start our day.

The island is very pretty and a visit to the turtle sanctuary is well worth it. I would be happy to go back.
