Advantages: Always excellent
Disadvantages: none
Hoseasons is my number one choice when booking holidays in the UK. Ive been booking holidays with them for over 18 years now and have never had any problems or cause for complaint. Customer service is always excellent.
All the holiday parks I have stayed in have been excellent with first class accomodation, where attention has been paid to detail and in clean and comfortable surroundings.
I have twice been tempted away by cheap offers - once at Pontins and another time at Haven - and wished I hadn't bothered, as both these places were terrible! - But that's another story...
I book my holidays with Hoseasons online directly on their website, but I do use Topcashback and access the site via them as they offer cashback on all holidays booked.
We prefer to stay in lodges with hot tubs these days, but have also enjoyed family holiday parks.
Some of the sites I have stayed at and would recommend are :-
Welcome Family Holiday Park, Dawlish Warren, Devon - this is a great holiday park right beside the beautiful beach at Dawlish Warren. Ive had a lof of family holidays here. The accomodation is mainly caravans but they were clean and well maintained. I'm not usually one for 'holiday camp entertainment' but the entertainments team here at Welcome, headed by the talented Mark Price have been the best ive experienced. Talented individuals who really can sing, play instruments, illusionists and comedy performers. Mark Price has been at the park for many years and I recently discovered a lot of footage on YouTube of the entertainment and a lot of praise for him and the team. People return here year after year for the entertainment.
Piperdam Lodge park near Dundee in Scotland is another favourite of mine. My partner and myself have had a few breaks here staying in luxury lodges which are amazing, furnished and decorated to a very high standard and have their own private hot tub and sauna, in a wooded setting next to a lake and golf course. Guests also have use of the swimming pool and Gym. Tennis courts are currently being built and there is also a restaurant overlooking the lake which serves fantastic meals, or bar meals are available if you prefer.
Dacre Lakeside Park in East Yorkshire has beautiful lodges set around a lake, again furnished and decorated to a high standard and private hot tub included. It was an ideal place to chill out and relax. I have only visited here once but hope to return again this year. There is no restaurant on site but the nearby village has good pubs which serve good meals, also takeaways etc.
Drummhor Lodges near Edinburgh is a small park with only a few lodges and also a touring site. I stayed here in November last year, we had a nice view of the sea and a large private hot tub which was built into a sort of summerhouse and looked really romantic! The lodge was again clean, comfortable and well furnished. This was a very quiet site and you have to drive to nearby town to buy groceries, have a meal etc, but was still a lovely break at a good price.
Thats just a sample of what Hoseasons have to offer and I usually pay between £180 - £210 for a 4 night break between Sept and April, then the price does rise after that, but we have been in June for around £270 which I don't think is expensive for what you are getting. You can often get last minute offers on the website and also discounts eg. 2 person discount, early booking discounts etc. Oh and don't forget to book via a cashback site and get a little money back too!
Summary: First class accomodation and value for money

- 28/02/09 Hoseasons don't just have their own properties - they advertisse them on behalf of owners and take a cut.
Also, they are a major agent for canal holidays in the UK and in western Europe and have a section dealing with gites in France. |
