Hua HinNewest Review: ... always use a high factor on my face wherever I am, or however long I've been there - I don't want more wrinkles than necessary. Places to stay Hua Hin, despite being quite small in comparison to a lot of places in Thailand still has a large amount of tourists that visit. There are a lot of large chain hotels, The Hilton, The Sofitel and Hyatt Regency. The hotels range from basic and reasonably cheap to very expensive. If you stay in a Thai hotel you are more likely to get a good deal, rather than staying in the International chain hotels. You will also get a discount in most places if you stay longer than the usual 1 - 2 weeks. There are... more |

Thailand - The Land of Smiles Hua Hin I lived in Hua Hin in Thailand for a while and thought it was time to write a review of my experience of the place. I have included the conversion from English £ to Thai baht to give you a rough idea when I'm mentioning cost further into the review. 1 British pound = 49.9982745 Thai baht Hua Hin is in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan with a population of around 60,000 people. The name means 'Head Rock', which comes from the large rock that looks like a head rising from the rocks at Khao Takiab beach. Hua Hin is a reasonably small town, which is approximately 3 hours South ... Read the complete review

I passed through Hua Hin for a couple of days to break up the trip down to Ko Panghan from Bangkok on a recent travel/ party holiday to Thailand. I am a travel agent by trade and I recommend this destination to my customers whatever the age, whether it be a young traveller or an older couple. It doesn't have the pace of other resort destinations like Phuket or Phi Phi, but I think that it has enough bars, resturants, ... Read the complete review

How the trip came about My girlfriend and myself had agreed to get married and, bless her, she had taken on the task of arranging everything and anything to do with the wedding with one proviso “You arrange the Honeymoon”. That’s easy, thought I, there are eight months to go and the world’s my oyster. Well, with three weeks to go I had done absolutely nothing other than to think dreamily of some unknown tropical paradise without the smallest clue as to where we would end up and beginning to worry slightly that I had left it too late when I got home from work one day and there was a mailshot on my doormat from a travel company I had used before. ... Nice place with a great market place where you can pick up jewellry, bedding, clothes for very little! Go up the side streets for good shops...... Nearby is the Prince's Palace where the Royal family spend their vacations, you can walk around, it is interesting to see the history of it, and some original beds can be seen! I found it intriguing how small their beds were! We were fortunate that some students who were studying English, asked if we would accompany them to the Palace so that they could sit their verbal exam in front of their tutor (using their learned English on us!) so it was terrific to help them get through that nerve racking day, and we ...
