Just returned from a caravan holiday in Brixham, the caravan, although a bronze grade was suprisingly clean and spacious although u are surrounded with other upgraded caravans (silver and gold) that look very comfortable, would be tempted to upgrade in the summer time just to get a balcony. The bedrooms where a little cramped and the mattresses had seen better days, but all in all a thumbs up, plenty to see and do and Paignton a lovely seaside town with a great crazy golf pirate ship, a must is 'Scoffs' Fish and Chips in the town, excellent u would not be dissapointed, 5 star!!, Dartmouth not far from camp site and a lovely trip over on the ferrry, also a good day out at ... John Fowler - St Ives
Booked and paid for a 4 day stay at St Ives. Chalet was Mouldy, Damp and Smelled awful, Spider webs everywhere and kitchen blind had black mould all over it - it made us feel sick. We could not sit on the the old settee - it was wet and smelled.
We arrived late so had to stay first night. Bed was awful- collapsed one side, bed linen was damp , we had paid extra for this to be supplied.
Booked into local hotel next day. We we arrived at new hotel, we told them of our experiences and without naming where we had stayed they said we bet it was John Fowler - lots of their customers had experienced problems with John Fowler.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL REGRET IT !!!.

THIS IS WHAT WE SENT INTO TO COMPLAIN STILL NO RESPONSE... Dear Sir or Madam We are writing to complain about the standard of accommodations at St Ives Holiday Village where we have just spent a short break. We appreciate that it does state in the brochure that the accomodation is due for ... Read the complete review

we stayed at the Ilfracombe park in sept 2009 and had a great time. The chalet was basic-but that was all we paid for-so there was nothing to moan about as it was clean and tidy. I thought the facilities were ok, although we didn't use all of them most of the time. The entertainment was rubbish on most nights, but the staff did try their best and were very friendly. We used this facility to have a drink and relax after a day out of the camp. My mother-in-law is elderly and disabled so we booked her and her partner a chalet to cater for their needs; this we found to be in good condition, clean and tidy.We were promised parking outside but didn't get it even though we ...
