Advantages: Near by the beach

Disadvantages: where do i start?????????/

have just come back from widemouth bay and i wont be going back. I have stayed at John fowler sites before and they have always been cheap but chearful - you get what you pay for. This was appalling. We camped - there was not a pitch as we had been told but a field on a very steep hill. We were not too far from the toilet block but there is only 4 showers in the ladies toliets we were told there was another block but didn't find this. tHIS Meant that there was a hugh que preety much all day for a shower, once in there they weren't the cleanest or the hottest showers. The camping people managed to lose two of our ice packs - all they had to do was put them in a frezzer for us over night! The take away/bar food was over priced and all fried foods not a vegatable in sight! The club was jam packed to get a seat you needed to be in there by 5.30, im sure it was breaking fire regulations because it was like being a tinned sardine. The kids entertainment wasn't up too much same chessy jokes night after night - with an over priced bar and not at all friendly staff. If they are like this at beginning of the season i feel sorry or any one going in September.
My recommendation - stay at home

Summary: Dont go camping here
