Advantages: Ilfracombe is a lovely park with decent facilities

Disadvantages: You do need a car to fully enjoy surrounding areas

we stayed at the Ilfracombe park in sept 2009 and had a great time. The chalet was basic-but that was all we paid for-so there was nothing to moan about as it was clean and tidy. I thought the facilities were ok, although we didn't use all of them most of the time. The entertainment was rubbish on most nights, but the staff did try their best and were very friendly. We used this facility to have a drink and relax after a day out of the camp. My mother-in-law is elderly and disabled so we booked her and her partner a chalet to cater for their needs; this we found to be in good condition, clean and tidy.We were promised parking outside but didn't get it even though we complained. Overall i would say that this is a nice camp within easy reach of places of interest. We had a great time for a very cheap price. I read a lot of negative reviews about John Fowler parks; but each one we have visited has given us a great holiday for very little outlay (Brixham,Ilfracombe,Trelawne Manor) Of course, we can all find things wrong or not to our liking, but in general i think of John Fowlers as cheap and cheerful.

Summary: Always had a good time with little to moan about.
