THIS IS WHAT WE SENT INTO TO COMPLAIN STILL NO RESPONSE...

Dear Sir or Madam

We are writing to complain about the standard of accommodations at St Ives Holiday Village where we have just spent a short break.
We arrived on Monday 5th October full of optimism about our holiday, with our three year old daughter. When we got to the chalet which was a bronze woodland chalet, we were greeted by lots of flies in the accomodation. The chalet smelt damp which aggravated my Husband's Asthma and my daughter developed a chesty cough. At least the bed linen was clean. We appreciate that it does state in the brochure that the accomodation is due for modernisation but we feel it falls well below an acceptable standard.
We did not make a complaint at first as we thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt. We actually cut the break short and left two days early on Wednesday 7th October as we could not stand the accomodation any longer. Admittedly, we did take the Sun holiday offer yet still paid about £84.00 for the break, not that much short of the brochure price and we would say much overpriced for the standard of the accomodation. We did not even attend the evening entertainment as the hall looked so dark and grim in the day and smelt horrible, again needing modernisation, as did the swimming pool which we did not allow our daughter to go into due to its condition. Many of the games in the amusement arcade did not work. The Foxy Club was not running during the day as advertised which left our daughter dissapointed. We feel the whole place could have been much more family friendly.
All in all the holiday was a complete dissapointment. "A warm welcome awaits you" is an understatement. We would be grateful if you would take our comments on board. We await your reply.

All the same it must be seen that a blank response from the company shows just how bad it was. To write a review is an option I have used on another site.
