I have just returned from a wonderfully relaxing two weeks in Kissimmee. Located just south of Orlando, approximatley 20 minutes from the International Airport it is the ideal location for tourists. There are numerous restaurants that are very good value for money (take CiCis for example, a pizza.pasta buffet - eat & drink as much as you can for $3, its located on Vine Street, just follow Boggy Creek from the airport and it will take you straight past). Not only are the munchies good - but Kissimmee is ideally located 30 minutes from the main attrations like Sea World and the Disney World complex. Alternatively, should you wish to relax on the beach, Melbourne beach / Cocoa beach are just 40 minuites away.

If you're looking for some city action, downtown Orlando is only 30 minutes away if you pick up the I4 East.

Kissimmee is quiet enough to sit by the pool but close enough to everything you need.
