Lloret De Mar is in the Costa Brava region of sunny Spain! I have recently just returned home from a week long break there after finishing my first year of University.

The place on a whole is very nice. Before I went I had never heard of it- which worried me a little! But after being there for a few days I realised it had all the makings of a fun holiday!

Firstly I stayed in the Samba Hotel (waiting for dooyoo to add that to their site at the moment). It was all pleasant and clean but I will save the details of that for that review.

So as for Lloret De Mar... It has two long stretches of beach (Although made of very small stones not sand!) with crystal clear blue waters- the tide is a strong one which made for some fun in the sea :D . With lots of water sports and boat trips available all the time.
Along the beach front are hundreds of stores bars and restaurants so eating out is never a problem.

To get to the beach I had to walk about 1/2Km down what is known as "the strip". During the day it was all in a classic holiday style but at night the place was on fire!! Reps everywhere trying to get you into their place, loud music, amazing atmosphere all that you would expect from a party place- I just had no idea to expect this from here!!
However, the best thing was if you did not fancy all this you could just skip it by walking down the smaller streets and getting to the quiet (and more romantic) beach front for a huge cocktail or 2 :D.

Its been a year since i went away to Malia and the prices out there were super cheap. Here not so much, if your eating where there are a lot of people expect to pay a lot more than average. For example a 250g steak on the strip will cost you up to 18 Euros- Nearer in land I paid 9 Euros and it was delish! Drinks are the same- you will struggle to find a bar on the strip after 11pm that offers a pint under 4 Euros which is a bit of a joke to be honest! Good job I had all-inclusive :p

Another great treat are the long hiking walks that you can take. You can walk up the cliff edge (on stairs do not worry) as it winds up round the corners and goes on for miles! This offers some great views f the rest of Lloret De Mar and out towards the sea.

The holiday simply has it all. A great nightlife with quieter options too! Its perfect for families, couple or young and single like me :D
