Premium Review Magaluf: Tacky but great fun! (286 words)

I worked in Magaluf for four summers so am well placed to review it - the reputation of the area (ie: drunken/"chavy") is reasonabely accurate although it has changed somewhat in the past few years. The area has a main "strip" which is full of bar after bar - most shut at 4am and some have dancefloors as well. Most will also have a PR on the front door who will try to persaude you to come in - a gentle "im meeting my friends in "x" bar" is suffice for them not to hassle you in- but bear in mind if you want to go in a bar they are the best people to take you to the bar as they can give you lots of free things and you can argue for ...  Read the complete review

Magaluf is the known place for the younger travellers. It is full of bars at every corner on every strip, each with a good standard of entertainment every night during the summer season. Even during the months in which most places are closed, such as January through to April, there are still plenty of bars and clubs which are open, both for youngsters and families. These include the famous Prince William bar and the Eastenders bar. They have good entertainment all throughout the night, including DJs and kareoke. During the summer there are many groups of people within the area covering the beaches during the day and on the streets and bars at night. ...  Read the complete review

I stopped in Magaluf with a mate in June 2008. We stayed in the fantastic Sol Guadalupe hotel (of which you can read my review). Magaluf itself is a fantastic place if you love to enjoy plenty of nightlife. There are an unbelievable amount of bars, restaurants and clubs. We used to start the night at a bar called Del Boys, in here they continuously show episodes of Only Fools and Horses, great if you are a fan of this classic sitcom! This bar is opposite the main club on the island, BCM. We only went to BCM one night, but it was very good, with Judge Jules live that night. It cost 25 euros to get in, but then all of your drinks were free for the ...  Read the complete review

Magaluf is one of the largest resort developments, its situated on the south west coast at the Palma bay end- and is only about 10 miles from the airport! Magaluf is a perfect resort for the 18 -30 groups, hen parties, stag parties and anyone else wanting to party in general.... Its a very lively resort with many british and irish bars, and may more opening! There is many discos that open late and are usually still open at dawn the next day.... there is always an exciting buzz about magaluf, always bright lights and loud music, people laughing and joking, comedians and singers in loads of bars up and down the strip. Although some people absolutely love Magaluf, I ...  Read the complete review

I havnt been on many holidays but Magaluf has been 1 of my best holidays by far. To me Magaluf is more the party scene, hectic nightlife, pubs and clubs in every direction. There is the odd thing for families to do together like waterparks, The Pirates which is a must see entertainment night (which does family nights and adult nights the difference being on adult nights they swear etc) and many restaurants but I'm sure theres more places out there which have more for families and young children to do. If a young partygoer, or teen, or even a first girly holiday or boys holiday or even a stag weekend or hen weekend, i would definitely reccomend ...  Read the complete review
