Malia (Greece) Destination International

Newest Review: ... kitchen including fridge and cooker and a nice sized balcony. For the price we paid, we were really happy. The beds and kicthen were in one room but it was fine. We had mostly everything we needed except a kettle, which did annoy me a bit. Being the middle of September the season was nearing it's end for tourists so, i didn't expect everything to be at it's peak. The pool bar stayed open until the late, it did say it was suppose to be open until 2am, but on several occasions we were sat outside at 1am and it just shut up without telling us. It was pretty quiet on the resort on our last few nights so i can see why they didn't open all ... more

- Ooh ahh Malia- After a long hard working year, i managed to actually get a holiday! We didin't have a lot of money to spend so we surfed the net for a fairly cheap, sun holiday in September. Knowing all the kids would be back at school, going at this time gave us more opitions for our money. We had both booked off the same week 10th - 18th September, so two weeks before this, we aimed to book something. We came across the Thomas Cook website which was very helpful. Usually i find Thomas Cook quite expensive, but we found many amazing deals in this time period. I usually like a holiday with sun, sea and a good nightlife experience, so when i came ...  Read the complete review

Malia was the best holiday i have ever had hands down. If your looking for a holiday where you can relax during the day and party hard at night then i would strongly recommend you go. I went to malia in the september of 2009 towards the end of season. Usually places that have a club 18 to 30s feel about them are more targeted to groups of girls or lads, having said that that didnt stop me and my boyfriend from going and we had a great time. The beaches are beautiful, the people are lovely and the atmosphere is fantastic. We stayed in the old village part of malia which was about a ten minute walk to all the bars and nightclubs. So we didnt get loud ...  Read the complete review

I went to Malia in July 2009 in a group with six other girls, we were all 18 and it was our first abroad trip. We all absolutely loved it. Clubs open til the early hours, bars open all the time and the beach full of people at any hour eager to come over and make conversation. A typical night in Malia was eating out at a restuarant about 8 or 9pm, then heading back to our hotel for some drinks, and then going to a bar at about 12 or 1 and then moving on to the clubs from about 3 am onwards until aobut 6 or 7 in the morning, where breakfast would be had at the local Subway or McDonalds! It was brilliant fun. I stayed in Drossia Palms, a brilliantly ...  Read the complete review

Malia in Crete lies about 20 miles from the airport of Heraklion and was once an old fishing village. There aare great beaches to go to here argueably the best on the island. There are over 3 miles in total of beaches and there are all kinds of water sports which go on from jet skis to banana boats. There are hundreds of hotels and apartments to choose from in Malia. I have been here twice both with my friends and with my better half. the first year with my friends we stayed in apartments above a bar which were basic, with a pool but definitely not for younger fam, ilies or anyone wanting a quiet break as obviously music boomed out until after 6am. Which was ...  Read the complete review
