manacor is situated around 50km east, south east of the island. in total around 30-45 mins drive from palma, the island's capital. after palma and inca, manacor is the third largest town on the island. although the manorqines are 'used to' tourists, you'll find that it's a very mallorquin town. you'll also find a medium sized market there on a monday, (like all of the markets on the island) between 9am-1pm. amongst the many 'traditional' purchases, there's a stall full of "miss sixty" clothes (genuine at that!) at incredibly low prices: around 4-10 euros (remember that 6euros is around 4quid!) there are various supermarkets: mercadona, the ...
