Advantages: It's life style

Disadvantages: Getting to where you want on time

Well I have only been in Murcia for around a year and one of the first things I'll say is that you need a very good map to find where you are, as if you go you will find you end up driving for hours round and round in circles. I found this out the first time I drove in Murcia, you will see a sign 3 or 4 exits before the one you need and when you com to the exit, no sign.

Murcia is a beautiful city and one of the hottest (if not the hottest) region in Spain, even if the Murcianos can seem to be a bit arrogant it is a lovely place to visit. It has a very good bus service (the problem is finding the bus station or stop). Although the murcianos may seem a bit stuck up they won't think twice in helping you.

Murcia has a very good clubbing area, the best nights to go out are Thursdays because thats when all the University students go out. An also very famous area is La Curva ("Lah Cor-bah") in Lo Pagan (beach). Clubbing out in Lo Pagan starts around Midnight untill 6am when La Curva closes, but don't worry at all, you can carry on in San Pedro del Pinatar in a big club called Zen ("Th-en"), not far away

Murcia also has a couple of shopping centers, one called Nueva Condomina and the other Thader. They are found near the Murcia Football Stadium (La Condomina).

If you are up to a haunted night (or for the less valiant, a haunted day) I would go to the Sanatorium in Sierra Espuna (See-eh-rra Ehs-pu-nya). It is haunted as you will find out if you visit. I will say that there is no water or electrcity.

Murcia also has beautiful beaches. The two main seas are the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean. The Mar Menor doesn't come much further than your waist no matter how far out you go the level doesn't change. Great if you have smal children as no waves either. The Mediterranean is as any other beach in the south of Spain, deep when you go out and nice waves. The beaches tend to be rockier on the Mediterranean than on the Mar Menor.

I live in San Pedro del Pinatar, a nice little town on the beach front, with everything you need around you, including shops, restaurants, and beautiful parks to walk through. The port is also a lovely place to visit and if you are into fishing you will find many people fish there. It is only 10 minutes away from Murcia Airport and an hour and a half from Murcia city. It is about an hour to get to Alicante. The good thing I find about San Pedro is that it still has spanish lofe, but also has an English area where a few spanish come up too and another few live.

I hope this is okay, I don't know to much about Murcia as haven't been here long so haven't got much info. But if you would like to know anything please don't hesitate in asking.

Many Regards,

Summary: Murcia is difficult to travel around but a very nice place
