New ZealandNewest Review: ... be a good amount of time here. Wellington: Wellington is my favorite city in New Zealand, it is not as crowded as the others and seemed more like a large town to me. I would advise a few days here to wonder around and get a feel for the place. The main highlight here was actually the museum; it was so interesting full of information about New Zealand culture and history, it was very ... more |

New Zealand is such an amazing country I have truly fallen in love with it! After 6 weeks of traveling the North and the South Island I fill very happy that I covered most of what this country has to offer. I hope this will give you an idea of how long you need in each place, the highlights and the best advice for getting around etc Traveling around New Zealand: There are many options available to you, camper vans and cars are the best way as you get to create your own journey stopping along the way from place to place, just make sure you get ... New Zealand is the youngest country on earth, it was the last major landmass to be discovered. Its history has both Maori and European heritage. There are still amazing Maori historic sites to be found some dating back almost a thousand years. When I visited New Zealand in July I decided to take an organised tour as I had limited time. I travelled with a group of other like minded travellers and we were transported around on a bus with two tour leaders who gave us loads of information along the way. They organised my accommodation and recommended tours to go on in each place we visited. Also most meals were included. The Advantages on taking a ... Read the complete review

New Zealand is situated in the South Pacific Ocean, southeast of Australia, and composed of two main island, termed simply the North and the South islands. The capital is Wellington, a harbour-side city located on the southern shores of the North Island. New Zealand's population is a modest 4 million, there are more sheep here than there are people and the emptiness of this stunning country only adds to the appeal. New Zealand is a destination that I cannot speak about highly enough, clean airs, clear skies, backdrops of mountains, empty coastlines, translucent lakes, amazing views... it is the perfect outdoor destination for backpackers and thrill seekers and it would ... New Zealand, or Aotearoa, is approximatly the same size as the Uk or Japan and lies in the south Pacific. It is made up of two islands. The islands are often thought of as being just off the coast of Australia, whereas London is more closer to Moscow, than NZ is to Oz! This review will only be about New Zealand in general, and the North Island. This is because, although I spent 2 months there, I only spent the time on the North Island. Aotearoa is the Maori name for the country, and it means "Island of the long white cloud." Maoris play a big part in the country's culture. It is said that NZ is proud of its bi-culture of Europeans and Maoris, and ... Read the complete review

Part 1-deciding to go Back in 1999 i left school. Rather than going to University to study, i thought i should have something to remind me, when i did eventually go to university, that there is something better out there than the mind numbing boredom of academia. A good decision i think. If any one tells you to wait till after you have been to university to go travelling, dont listen to them. I repeat, dont listen to them. Why? They either have not been to university, or, they made a bad life decision and want to influence you in the same way. Or, small mindedness runs thick in this country. Why? when you go to the university of your choice, ... Read the complete review
