Advantages: clean, plenty to do, number of pubs

Disadvantages: smoke alarm kept setting off by toaster, shop could be better, not every caravan has a car parking space next to the caravan.

We stayed at Oakcliff for a fornight last July. We had never been never been to Devon before and had such a good time we are going again this year. The caravan we had was spacious and fantasticaly clean. There was a full sized cooker, microwave and full sized fridge. The t.v had teletext! The bedding arrived promptly and spotlessly clean. There was even bin bags for the bin.

On the site there was a swimming pool but this is only lifegaurded in peak season. A shop which is adquately stocked but somethings can be slighty overpriced also the shop had strange opening hours. The good thing was you can get phone top ups here!

Entertainment was fantasic with all the staff taking it in turns to entertain. There was a quiz on thursday nights. Launderette was modern and clean. There was a take away with a good selection. Staff are very helpful and efficient with the owner constantly walking around the site checking everthing.

In Maryland paddock there are execllent sea views and the site is only 5mins from a brilliant beach which is lifeguarded. No dogs are allowed on the site and smoking is banned inside the caravans. The bus stop and post box are right outside the entrance.

Plently to do in Dawlish Warren. There is a bakery, small supermarket, takeaway shop, and couple of other shops. There are 5 family pubs with most serving meals which are good but I would advise you to book for a meal in the mount pleasant as it's that busy. Welcome also has sky. There are 3 amusements but the best two are near the railway bridge. Every forthnight on a thursday night there is a daredevil show. There is an excellent market on a tuesday well worth a look. The bus service is excellent and the drivers are very helpful and friendly with the service reliable. There is a small funfair near the seafront which has go-karts which good value for money. It also has a crazy golf. Away from the beach is a nature resivation.
