Newest Review: ... there by bus or rental cab. I strongly recommend to travel by "luxbus", a bus with only three rows of seats, so more space for (longer) legs. Isphahan A city noone misses when they go to Iran, so I won't tell much about that. Except : you need to join the people in the park at night, and stay a while on the nicest bridge there at night as well (sorry, but the name slips my mind). Also recommended is an internal flight e.g. between Ispahan and south or North. Very cheap (we payed 35 $ in 1996). Bam. A middle age city which was left behind when the desert covered it. The new Bam is just laying besides it, within the the -now smaller-oasis. It looks like a greater picture of pompei, without the hurdles of tourists, and can be visited all year long, also thanks to the good climate there. The old city contains a walled city, with in the middle, on top of a mountain, a hughe castle. Easy to get there by bus or rental cab.
