Hope that didn't put you off and that you are still with me because there is more to tell yet and I think you'll appreciate some of the other neat things that Dreamworld and the Gold Coast has to offer. There's heaps of 'death defying' rides, entertainment and educational shows, u-drive vintage cars, train trips around the park. You can even have a children's birthday party; we did for our aforementioned daughter and grandaughter's birthday for which some of the parks ''characters'' joined her to present her with a cake and to hel... more |

Golden sands, golden sunshine - the Gold Coast is a tourist's dream destination. One morning I looked out the window of our 22-storey apartment to see massive whales frolicking along in the Pacific Ocean, water plumes bursting into the air - I didn't even need binoculars to see such an impressive but unexpected sight. Australia's ''Sunshine State'', on the eastern side of this huge country, takes in the area from below Brisbane, down to Tweed Heads in the south. These are rated as two ... Read the complete review

Gin Gin form a triangle with Childers and Bundaberg in one of the largest irrigation areas in Australia. Childers is better known for the tragic hostel fire in early 2000 which caused the deaths of many backpackers. The main points of interest around Gin Gin include Fred Haigh Dam to the north, and the Gin Gin Main Channel running just above the town. The problem here of course is that neither ... On arriving at Harvey bay there isn’t really much to see there at all, the only thing that it has to offer is that it is where you can catch a boat trip to the amazing Frazer Island. Frazer Island in itself is a magical spectacle. But that is not why I am writing this opinion. What you need to be weary of when you are booking your trip to Fraser Island is that most of the tour operators are trying to rip you off. Here are a few hints and tips that I can offer for your trip over to Fraser Island which will hopefully help you avoid the sort of mess I got into when I was over there. 1:) Do not even think about taking the food that they offer to provide ...
