In the middle of February I had some free days and decided to spend one in Baden-Baden, a small but famous town in the southwest of Germany set in a wooded valley of the northern Black Forest, 70 km west of Stuttgart, 30 km south of Karlsruhe and 40 km northeast of Strasbourg in France. The name Baden-Baden, meaning the town of Baden in the state of Baden, was adopted to differentiate it from another spa town, Baden-bei-Wien (near Vienna). I had been there before, many years ago, in fact I didn´t know how many and why I had gone there! We have been going to the Caribbean for the previous three years, each time visiting a different island. We wanted to go basically just because of its name, a major plus point was that it was reasonably priced. We went for 2 weeks All-Inclusive staying at the LagunaMar Beach Resort about 15 minutes drive north of Parlamar. The resort has 9 swimming pools including a wave pool, Olympic sized pool and kiddies pool. The hotels consist of two large concrete accommodation blocks a long way apart! Margarita is a Caribbean island, situated at the northwest of Venezuela, country that own it. Is a little tropical Island, where it’s always hot and specially humid. As in Venezuela the official language is Spanish although you can find anywhere along the island people that speak good English. "Margarita" means "Daisy", although in the times that it received it’s name Margarita mean in Spanish “Pearl”. Apparently the Island was plenty of them.
