Having spent a week here this summer I can say that it is a great place.Yes the crowd is a little older but the beach is great and not to crowed with loads of sun. Barcelona is only one hour on the train which makes for a GREAT day trip. If you go the other direction you have a few more lively resorts for a good night out. Of course it is full of tacky tourist shops but you can pick up some great deals on booze. And hey the weather beats the UK hands down.
