An enlightening experience but one which can definitely be summed up by the phrase, "A nice place to visit....but I wouldn't want to live there" My final trip was to the Czech Republic. Not to Prague (that's so 90's, dahling) but to Brno, it's less visited counterpart. The first few months at uni passed without much of interest happening. Then the shop where I was working opened a travel agency concession, and thing changed. While not quite the 25% I got off clothes and furnishings, the discount they offered was quite generous considering the products on offer. Our first trip was a city break to Paris in February. No matter how many determiners you use, "Paris in the the spring" is not all that pretty, and can be quite damp and cold, but it does have one good thing going for it: a wonderful lack of tourist types.
