Borobudur is one of the wonders in the world, it is a Hindu-Buddhist temple, and located 41 km northwest of Yogyakarta, 7 km south of Magelang, Central Java. It was built in the 9th century under the Sailendra dynasty of Java. Hindu-Buddhist used to have great influence to Indonesian until 15 century. This temple was built to worship the Hindu Buddha. It was constructed on the hill and it consists of eight steplike stones terraces, one on top of the other. The five terraces are square and surrounded by walls, the walls are adorned by the Buddha sculpture. This is the kind of place we scoured the globe looking for. I’ve half a mind not to share the secret, in the vague hope that should I ever get around to returning, things would not have changed.
