I can really say Piran is the most beautifull town in the istrian peninsula, one important history of the town is left out, the real history of the town once known as the daughter of Venice , and the laborious and corragious sea man once the pride of Piran well known all over Istria and Dalmatia, the history of what happen to all the inhabitant with their beautifull venetian dialect, the real history of Piran is completly left out. Look in Tartini Trg and you will see the famous Winged Lion simbol of Venice, you will find many coat of arm in top of home entrances once habithated by venetian authority. Piran is a place that is a must to visit, the fisherman in early spring have their big catch of fish in Portoroz wher tons of fish gather near the shore, in Piran you will find the narrowed street ever bilt where two person can not get trough. If you can find a silent place you will hear the famous Piraneis songs telling the stories of the sea. In Portoroz you will find Hotel Exelcior where famous people use to visit and stay.
