Advantages: near the sea

Disadvantages: very basic

Pontins/camber/pakefield

I will start with camber sands we have stayed at the camber sands pontins loads of times and stayed in all the grades of accommodation.

Budget very basic a bath with no shower and you have to pay extra for the bed linen
The four berth has a bedroom with two singles and a sofa bed in the lounge, the sofa bed is uncomfortable you find you are rolling into the middle. You have to pay for your electric so make sure you buy the cards. This room is very basic; if you get a dirty room they will move you to another if you complain. I wouldn't pay loads for this but if you get it cheap it's a good place to go.

Classic this is very much the same as the budget room you get a shower and your bed linen, it's slightly updated but not much.

Club these are the best but most expensive they have patio doors a lovely shower you get a cleaner come to clean and empty bins and you get a free news paper these are much nicer than the others but they cost so much more. If you stay in club you are allowed to booking early 2pm for club 4pm for the others.

The beach isn't to far away you can easily walk to it and it is all sand.

The entertainment is good it goes on till late at night the best entertainment is upstairs which is a problem for the disabled and those with buggies, there is a games room upstairs as well with snooker, pool, darts, chess and table tennis you have to pay to play pool but the rest you just pay a deposit.
The crazy golf is free as well and so is the swimming pool.
They do other activities for children that you have to pay for.

I wouldn't say this was the best holiday park but we have had some really good holidays here.

Pakefield

Pakefield is a half board holiday park the rooms are just bedrooms and very small. You do get a kettle but you don't get a fridge unless you hire one which is about 30 pounds. Our rooms felt damp all the time and this was summer. You didn't have to pay for electric, and the beds were made up for us.

Breakfast time you could have as much as you wanted the cereal toast and yogurts and fruit was good, you could also have bacon which was burnt most of the time scrambled egg beans and sausage and tomatoes. They also did kippers. They did tea coffee hot chocolate water and in the morning fruit juice. There was no juice or squash for the children in the evening unless you went into the bar to pay for it, also there was no decafe option.

Dinner, every day there was omelettes and jacket potatoes and salad. They had things like pizza and beans for the children
And every day they did something different like curry, spaghetti Bolognese and something for vegetarians, the thing they didn't do enough was traditional food like meat pie (food without spices) my husband don't eat spicy food so he had jacket potato and omelette for four out of the seven days. They also had 2 puddings these were things like ice cream, cake, cheese cake and one day they did chocolate cake and custard and another day they had apple crumble and custard.

The entertainment didn't stay on as late as cambersand it finished just after eleven they did have another bar that was open until late but you had to be over 18, I have one daughter which isn't 18 so we had to go back to our room. What teenager wants to go to bed just after eleven when they are on holiday? I know mine don't.
They had all the same thing like pool, snooker and darts they also had table tennis and indoor bowls but this was around the corner and no one was supervising them, the children were messing about most of the time and they was even throwing the bowls balls around we had to complain loads of times.
The swimming pool was nice and warm and they even had a slide.

You could get to the beach from the park you had to go down a slope which could be a problem if you were disabled.

They also have crazy golf and tennis

Summary: a uk holiday
