Advantages: Inexpensive, few other criminals, clean

Disadvantages: bad exchange services, bad weather

I have been in Prague for most of the past month. I did not know what to expect and was pleasently surprised by the city.

Imagine a place that is so entirely beautiful that you do not even notice the individual buildings. Everything is so old. The Architecture is simply stunning. The city is clean, safe and easy to get around. The food is phenomenal, not exactly cheap but low priced relative to home. Of course you can mention the 50p pints that are the worlds best, but I won't I got sick of every Czech asking me if I liked their beer. There are so many great sights to see, most of them free. Like usual I didn't make it to any museums or anything cultural. My highlight was sitting at an outdoor cafe at the summit of Prague hill by the castle-Cathedral drinking my 70p mulled wine. The greatest view in all Europe, overlooking the majestic ancient city and it cost 70p for a cup of warm wine!!!!

Now for the fun stuff. I started out at the Golden Sickle Hostel until all my mates could make it into town. It is on Vodickova street off Wenchalas square. I highly recommend this hostel. It was like 8 quid a night for the basic bed and bread with a computer and kitchen to use. The cool thing is that no one is in charge from 7pm to 7am. Absolutele nobody is in control of the place so it is law of the tsungel. There is no workers there you just get keys and you can do whatever you want. Like always a few loud mouthed Americans needed buked down to know who was the Silverback in charge. I shaved my head the moment I cleared customs so I was disappointed my gang affiliated tattoos on my head weren't enough to keep people in line and I had to do some backyard wrestling. I then stayed at the university with some people who had stayed at my house this summer.

Not that I know, but the street action isn't that good in Praha. If you need a woman there are good ones off Escort.cz, don't mess around with the girls claiming to be Bulgaria

ns around Wenchalas square. If you do mess with them ask them about the mean ass dude with tattoos on his head. Or so I heard. I heard about this place called Sex Park where you go at Holivice Market on the Red Metro line. You pay 30p to get in and then there are 30 cubicles with nice girls that you can talk to and hang out with for a half hour for 1000 crowns which is like 25 pounds. They are beautiful girls. Totally stunning, like models, just beautiful, not that I know or anything but Jitka in room 28 is so awesome. Unbelievable.

They have this cool bridge called Charles Bridge with all these old statues on it and painters and people selling all these crafts. My Czech friends steer clear of it saying that you can get pick pocketed there. I think I got picked out of 1000 Crowns. I hope I did because the girl who did it was smooth, she earned it, she deserved it, she was that awesome. I hope I just didn't lose it. If you want to come back to Prague you are supposed to touch some gold plaque on Charles bridge for good luck.

There is plenty of shopping all over, they even have a big Tesco. You can buy some neat stuff, they are pretty proud of their puppets. A bad thing is changing money, every place is out to gut you big time. While the official exchange rate is around 28 CK to a dollar you are lucky to get 25 along with a commission on top of it. Yanks BEWARE, not many ATM check cards work in the ATMs there. I had to resort to crime by the third day after I spent all my money (not at Sex Park, btw) and my ATM card did not work.

Wenchalas square is ok. It is a big rectangle that leads to the Old Town Square at one end and some Museum at the other end. You can get there from Metro stop Muzek. There is a big statue there that all lovers are supposed to meet at. It is right by KFC and McDonalds. I broke my tooth by there the second day there. It was bad.

I hung out mostly at the Uni with the students in the student p
ubs.
You have to watch out for pot head old men who carry knives and like to argue. I went to an awesome concert by a band called Three Sisters they play hard rock-pop that uses violin, accordian and brass to keep traditional Czech music alive in pop. Apparently the lead singer is accused by some of being a skinhead and the skinheads fought the greens at the concert. I took the chance to get in some inetrnational head cracking done.

The pubs are nice and calm and then there are some awesome clubs down by the Bridge. I hung out at one called Roxy that was ok. Made good by some very bad Finnish girls. One thing I don't dig is that at all pubs and clubs all the people are always getting high on hash. I do not like drugs and it annoyed me that everyone was always toking.

I highly recommend this place for a long weekend. With flights from Heathrow at 20 pounds each way it is a must see. Try the Budweiser beer (the original) and try some of their stupid dumplings.

One warning. The Czech word for "thank you" sounds like "dickweed". Some guy asked me for change to buy a metro ticket out of the machine and he looked me staright in the eye and said "Dickweed" so I punched him in the face and he fell down. Then I felt real bad when I found out he was just saying thanks.

this review wa entirely true, what could I be lying about? Call the golden sickle, better yet e-mail them, ask Katia there if a total bad ass pimp stayed there, ask her who gave her a Nike sweatshirt. I am sick of people accusing me of lying when I am telling the truth.
