We visited Samoa during mid November 2008 as part of our honeymoon. Here are our do's and donts! DONT: Do not rent a car at Savaii Rentals, they only have cars in which somebody died allready or you might be the first one!!! Bad (and rude) service! Do not stay in Kitano Hotels in Apia. Samoa is the original "treasure island". Robert Louis Stevenson wrote his famed novel after this tiny pacific nation. I visited here because I wanted to get as far away from home as physically possible, and it really does feel like you are about to fall off the edge of the map. Arrival will be either by Air New Zealand or Virgin Blue/Pacific Blue, who each have flights 3/4 times weekly. Air NZ also connect to Los Angeles and Tonga.
