During my trip in Turkey several years ago, I had set my heart on the city of Sanliurfa (often just called Urfa), it looked distant and the descriptions I read were quite luring. After a week in Cappadocia, I decided to head eastwards and hitchhiked to busting Kayseri and onwards to Pinarbasi from where myself and hitchhiking partner at the time got a ride from a truck that was heading to Saudi Arabia via Gaziantep, a long afternoon and evening ensued with a heavily loaded truck travelling slowly up and down the mountainous and slow road with breathtaking views, add to that a few praying sessions for the driver, tea and food breaks and a visit to a factory in ...
