Newest Review: ... being serenaded by a jazz quartet one evening. The next day we ventured into Sitges. Sitges has lots of winding streets and bars and restaurants that seem to pop up out of nowhere. We had a beautiful Mexican meal, while overlooking the beach and then did a bit of a pub crawl. The pubs vary from stunning and sophisticated to tacky and to downright dingy but most pubs are sleek. The beaches is Sitges are beautiful and were packed everyday when we were there. There are also lots of quirky clothes shops and original shops with weird and wonderful items. Sitges is a coastal city situated 35 kilometres from Barcelona. You can get the train from Barcelona Sants and it takes about 30 minutes (Euro2.60 for a single).I first visited Sitges last September after spending a few days in Barcelona. It is famous for the Gay Carnival every February.
