arrnoosa Other locations...: ... Chang is a much quiter island than the more famous ones you here about. This makes it a blissful and friendly place compared to the party islands . The best places to stay are along the beachside and are generally huts with a net over the bed and an outside toilet/shower. Its located to the south west of Bangkok and almost in Cambodia. You get a really nice bus from near Khao San Road and takes 5-6 hours. ...

georgiesue Holiday Resorts in Thailand in general
... travelled around Thailand in my twenties and fell in love with the country and the culture. Approaching 40 I returned to Thailand for a holiday and as I was older with bit more money (not to mention being disinclined to rough it this time) I opted for 5 star luxury and booked in to the Dusit Laguna hotel (one hotel in a complex of 5 ran by the Sheraton group) which is located about half an hour from the resort of |Phuket. How wrong was I - we arrived 19 hours later but it was worth every second of it. For those that don t know, Borneo is located in Malaysia and Indonesia. Getting there: We booked with Imaginative Traveller. They had a honeymoon (eco) that we went with although you could tailor it. I am sorry we didn t tailor it a bit more (towards relaxation after the wedding) but they are an excellent company...

tiger645 Borneo (Kalimantan)
... is a state of Malaysia and so I have put it under the Malaysia section. Although English is not the first language it is commonly spoken out there and we never had any problems speaking in English to anyone. This review is slightly different to normal, rather than a review of the country its my experience of my time in that country, what I did and how I felt. WARNING: This review is LONG. Back in October 2005 World Challenge came to our school and told us that we had a chance to go to Malaysia for a month where we would do charity work, trekking and much more. Reluctant I did not sign up to go, however soon after realising all my friends would be going and feel...
