... stopped in Magaluf with a mate in June 2008. We stayed in the fantastic Sol Guadalupe hotel (of which you can read my review). Magaluf itself is a fantastic place if you love to enjoy plenty of nightlife. There are an unbelievable amount of bars, restaurants and clubs. We used to start the night at a bar called Del Boys, in here they continuously show episodes of Only Fools and Horses, great if you are a fan of this classic sitcom! This bar is opposite the main club on the island, BCM. We only went to BCM one night, but it was very good, with Judge Jules live that night. ... out. If you take a wander up some of the small side streets you ll find some more lovely little bars and pubs. The main beaches are Calatlan Bay, which is further away from town and so less packed, and Camp Bay and Little Bay are the bigger and more crowded beaches. There is a huge cheap market just across the border into La Linea, Spain (take a right and keep on walking once you ve crossed the border). The market is on Wednesdays I think but check this before you go it may have changed. To get to the border you need to cross the airway strip at the airport. Bewitched Can Pastilla
... an Pastilla is located on the south coast of Majorca / Mallorca - and the transfer time from the airport to resort is just 20 minutes! One small problem though with the resort being so close to the airport - and that is the aircraft noise that you will most definately hear - but for those that enjoy plane watching, its ideal... you can sit on the beach and watch the planes land and take off several times throughout the day.
