Advantages: Good fun great location

Disadvantages: The next morning and seeing how much you spent

I have been to surfers paradise twice now in the last two years and have had a blast both times i have been there. One of the times i went we were on a typical lads stag do which is a great place to be to sleep off any hangover on what seams to be a never ending sea of blue and white beach.

There are loads of places to stay there and i believe i stayed at the surfers hotel sharing with a mate and for $200 dollors for the night we had a apartment 18 floors up 1 minute from the beech and accomodation larger than my house with lounge kitchen washing machines 2 large double rooms both en-suite with a balcony to enjoy the view from

The nightlife itself was good fun on a friday and saturday night with promotions of going on a bar crawl with a few hundred people which costs $50 but when you get free entry to six clubs with a shot or cocktail free in each its not to bad considering it would cost over $15 to get in some of the clubs themselves and you have the option to pick and choose where you stay or end up or you can just go out and about and see what happens.

On the pub/club crawl its a great chance to meet people as you all meet up early in a bar and get a sticker for a laugh if your on the pull single/taken up for fun etc and there are so many differant people there like a team from sydney on a rugby tour general holiday makers and loads of hen nights and girl and guy groups out and about just having fun.

The atmosphere at night has that typical drinking scene with the fun of being away from home lots of freindly people and the general feeling you will have a cracking night whether your in a club or just speaking to people out and about seeing where is the best place to head to is as it seams to have it all from restaurants pubs clubs and strip clubs and casinos. You get the meter maids that have been roaming surfers for years that are just scantily clad women in gold bikinis that go around getting donations and you can take photos with them for a laugh and price of course.

Its not uncommon to be having a chat with batman or some other dressed up party goer during the night or seeing people with i love dad tattoos on their faces as you can get the usual spray tattoos for a laugh and about $10 which is typical start to a conversation when people question why you have something random on your face (alcohol ideas) but its all in the fun of a night out in a place like surfers.

During the daytime there is a nice mix of quiet places to eat a massive shopping mall nearby and plenty of commercial shops all located close together and if your into sightseeing then there is the Qdeck building which is as far as the eye can see which is a beautifull on a sunny day that has a small cafe on the 77th floor (i think) after taking the worlds fastest lift. The overall daytime feel you get walking around is that its a nice beach town area that transforms into a sea of people out for a goodtime after 6pm.

I never got to surf there as i needed a knee operation while there but from laying on the beach and seeing the surf from our apartment block it looks amazing hence the name

I cant really say what its like as a place to be during the week as i was never there during mon-thurs but for a weekend adventure its not to be missed.

Summary: Got to be done at least one time
