Newest Review: ... bocadillos and Sunday Roast Dinners were being sold in every bar in town..in short, Torremolinos became Blackpool in the sun. The really sad thing is that all the signs were written in English, all the menus were in English and English, Scottish, Irish and Welsh flags appeared all over the place.......the Spanish people were driven from their own town. Some did remain, but, they had to learn to speak English and had to put up with being treated as second class citizens there to serve their British guests. Torremolinos is a Spanish holiday resort situated on the south coast of Spain (Costa Del Sol). It is about 10kilometres west of Malaga airport and is ideally situated for exploring the region of Andalucia. Flights take about 2 hours from London and three from Scotland. All the major airlines fly to Malaga and most have excellent deals throughout the year. I have been visiting this area for over 20 years and have seen Torremolinos expand and change beyond all recognition.
