A place to wind down

Advantages: Nice surrounding area
Disadvantages: Not much to do, not much in the way of hiking trails either
Werlas really is the end of the road, a tiny village at the end of the peninsular that points into Solina Reservoir, it is served occasionally by several of the buses that then go to Zawoz but overall connections are limited and if you are not visiting with your own transport, I wouldn't recommend staying there unless you are just seeking to relax in the same place.
There's nothing particularly impressive about Werlas, there is access to the lake but not much in the way of hiking, it's about 4km to Zawoz by walking and 9km by road, there is one shop that also acts as a pub/snack bar and has seats outside but that's about it for entertainment.
It seems that at least half of the houses in the village double up as rented accommodation and it could be that it's out of the way location makes for lower prices but paying more and having more opportunities to you would definitely be preferable as it's a 5km walk to the main road and even then you have to spend some time getting to sightseeing destinations, with little history and nothing in the immediate area to sightsee.
Werlas doesn't have much going for it but if you have your own transport then it's out of the way location may ensure that with few neighbours and little going on, you will definitely get a good night's sleep. Werlas is flat and in a bit of a dip which means that it's not particularly picturesque, although the windy road in from Biskupiec may suggest otherwise.
The surrounding peninsular is heavily forested and the combination of lake and forest is pretty but can be found just about anywhere along the shores of Solina. The offerings of the local shop are fairly limited, so make sure you stock up in either Polanczyk or Biskupiec where the supermarkets have a wider range of products and are also cheaper.
Boat rental doesn't seem to be evidently available but if you can negotiate with someone, Werlas location on the lake shore makes it fairly easy to reach Polanczyk and Solina since it is opposite them and generally would make its location more appealing, bringing or renting kayaks elsewhere may also add some possibilities but Werlas itself seems to be devoid of this opportunity unlike neighbouring Zawoz which is on the whole a much better prospect for staying.
Summary: Picturesque but a little isolated
