Auchterarder

A lovely little village, not far from Gleneagles, The famous place where the G8 Leaders met at the beginning of July 2005. My memories of Auchteradar stem from day trips to the ski slopes in Aviemore or Glenshee. On the return journey home the bus would always stop at Auchteradar for either skiers to enjoy a bag of chips or partake in a dram or two. The local fish and chip shop is highly recommended. There are a number of public houses, I recall our favourite was the Star Bar. A wee dram or two was needed to warm yourself up after a cold day on the slopes.
